November 2018 I was chosen as the SGAC Africa Regional Partnerships Manager. Why is this important? These Africa Space Workshops I organised led to me deciding to run for a position in SGAC.

In fact AUC was so impressed they invited our Africa Space Workshops team to their GMES Africa Conference in Libreville, Gabon. We had speakers from African Union Committee (AUC), Airbus, among others. I created a team and organised two African Space Workshops of which one of them focused on Entrepreneurship and the other focusing on the African space community. I reached out to them to organise Africa Space Workshops focusing on entrepreneurship, inclusivity of African youth and representation of African space experts. I reached out to African Association of Remote Sensing and Environment (AARSE) organising team and committee who were organising the AARSE conference in Alexandria, Egypt. Late 2017 I founded Africa Space Workshops. It is then where I promised myself to get as actively involved with SGAC and other space organisations to increase the presence and representation of those nations, particularly the youth. I noticed the lack of presence and representation from emerging and non-space faring nations. There I had the pleasure and privilege to attend both the SGC and the IAC. The first ever SGAC event I had the privilege of attending was the SGC2017 in Adelaide, Australia. I have tried to be actively involved where possible with SGAC events. I have been part of the SGAC for more than five years.
